Launch the media gallery 1 playerSamantha Davis of Owensville, Missouri graduated from Owensville High School. She is currently attending Culver-Stockton College – Canton, Missouri majoring in Art Education and Fine Arts.
Samantha shares that having grown up in Owensville, which is a small town in central Missouri, I have enjoyed the close community benefits where you rarely see a stranger. The hometown atmosphere has made me feel that as a future educator I would like to return to my own town or somewhere close by to pursue my career. This will allow me to be able to better address the classroom educational needs of my students. What a great feeling it will be to run into a former student and hear of their attributes and smile to myself on the inside and think what a difference I made in their life.
A college instructor shares that during her participation in my classroom, Sam has shown herself as a driven and dedicated student who works very hard to not only maintain a high GPA, but also engage in activities and programs that will assist with her professional development.
Knowing the benefits of being in a rural school as a student and having the skills to use that knowledge to aide her future students, makes it appropriate to congratulate Samantha Davis as the 2015 L.J. Hart & Company Scholarship recipient.
