Zachary is a graduate of Rolla Sr. High School in Rolla, Missouri. He is currently a student at Missouri State University in Springfield working on a major in Science Education with an emphasis in Chemistry.
Zachary shares, "I have been raised in the country and I love the outdoors. I want to teach in a rural setting so that with lower teacher/student ratios I can get to know my students better thus providing for their individual learning needs which will allow each student to reach his/her full potential. I want to instill in my students that hard work and dedication, both inside and outside of the classroom, can help them achieve their goals in life."
A college professor shares," Zach is a responsible and curious student, as well as a critical thinker who respects differences in individuals. His work always reflects the highest level of professionalism." Another professor notes, " I believe Zach will be successful as a rural educator as he has a sound academic foundation, a strong work ethic and a great desire to become a high school science teacher."
