Jessica Lynn Dill

2009 Howard Heidrink Scholarship

Jessica Lynn Dill is this years recipient of the Howard Heidbrink Scholarship.  Jessica is graduate of the Pilot Grove High School at Pilot Grove, Missouri.  She is currently a student at the University of Missouri - Columbia, Missouri with a major in Elementary Education.

Jessica shares, "my roots are in rural Missouri."  The community I grew up in is amazing, welcoming, and friendly; always there when someone or some family needs a hand.  Education in rural Missouri is different, the respect level is different, and the students are different.  Students care about their education and the parents care about what the students are doing in school.

One of her former teachers shares that Jessica showed leadership qualities early in her high school career for the student council.  Usually officers are seniors, but she demonstrated early leadership as a sophomore.  Dependability is one of her strong points.  When something needed to be done, she did it without complaint or hesitation.

One of her college instructors shares that through her field experiences, and within Elementary School Social Studies, Jessica has shown an extremely high quality of academic work.  She takes pride in her assignments and works diligently to prepare them to meet her high expectations.

A former Pilot Grove administrator shares that Jessica was a student leader who made it a priority to improve student involvement in the governance of the high school in a very positive way.  Jessica's enthusiasm and effervescent character are truly engaging to all who come in contract with her.

Congratulations to Jessica Lynn Dill the 2009 recipient of the Howard Heidbrink Scholarship.
