MARE Board Appoints Christy Groppe to Fill Vacant BOE Seat
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe MARE Executive Board appointed Mrs. Christy Groppe to fill a vacant BOE member seat at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 8th in Jefferson City.
Christy Groppe is has served on the Franklin County R-II BOE since 2018. In 2019, she was elected Vice President of the Board and she has served in that capacity since then. Christy and her husband, Shawn, have three beautiful children who are currently attending Franklin County R-II. Her father was born and raised in the school district. He too served on the BOE for many years. Her children are the third generation to attend FCR2, and Christy hopes that one day, they too, can send their children to FCR2.
Christy believes it is now more important than ever to advocate for our small, rural schools. She wants the next generation to be able to receive the exceptional education that a rural school can provide. Christ hopes to be able to continue to serve her community on the BOE for at least another nine years. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Christy Groppe to the MARE Executive Board.
