Blakeley Fuemmeler Awarded 2017 Philip C. Dorth Scholarship

Darryl Pannier presenting to Blakeley Fuemmeler

Blakeley Fuemmeler is a graduate of Glasgow High School in Glasgow, Missouri.  She is currently a student at Central Methodist University, Fayette, Missouri working on a major in Elementary Education with an additional certification in High School English.

Blakeley shares that she wants to be a teacher that her students can turn to for help.  One who does not pass judgment, but truly understands what growing up in small-town Missouri really means.  She plans to find passion between the rows of desks in her classroom and in the eyes and minds of the students that she works with.  Her goal is to instill in her students the same lifetime love of learning that Glasgow fostered in her.

One of her college instructors shares that Blakeley is dependable, vivacious, conscientious and hard working.  She adds that Blakeley has always had the ability to work effectively with her peers as well as adults.  Another professor shares that Blakeley is one of the most well-rounded college students that she has worked with.  A high school teacher notes that Blakeley will be an outstanding educator in the future.  He adds that she will be the definition of a consummate professional and will be an outstanding rural teacher.

It is our pleasure to present Blakeley Fuemmeler the 2017 Philip C. Dorth Scholarship award!
