Hayley L. Carroll - 2016 William G. Peter Scholarship Recipient

Hayley Carroll is a graduate of South Shelby High School in Shelbina, MO.  She is currently a student at Central Methodist University, Fayette, MO working on a major in Early Childhood Education.

Hayley shares that her kindergarten and first grade teachers were big influences in helping her make her decision to become a teacher.  They instilled a love for learning and made the classroom fun and exciting.  Hayley plans to build meaningful relationships with her students and parents.   Hayley works on the family farm during the summer months.  She plans to draw from her own experiences and use agriculture to create a great learning environment for her students.

One of her college instructors shares that Hayley is passionate, responsible and disciplined as an education student.  She readily takes advantage of every opportunity to learn about and experience teaching.    She is prepared and a natural leader in the classroom.  Her caring and warm demeanor will make her an effective teacher in a rural classroom.

Her passion to impact each of her student’s lives and to make a positive difference in how they view learning make it appropriate to congratulate Hayley Carroll as the 2016 William G. Peter Scholarship recipient.
