Tiffany Johnson is a graduate of Warsaw High School in Warsaw, MO. She is currently a student at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO working on a major in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood. She plans to seek certification in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
Tiffany shares that she has enjoyed the community support and the “community within” the rural schools that she has attended. Her desire is to return to a rural school and teach special education. As a special education teacher, she hopes to provide the quality educational services that her students need and deserve. Tiffany believes that the rural setting is the best fit for her. She is looking forward to the opportunity to connect with her students and to show them their options for life beyond high school. Tiffany works on campus during the school year. She spends her summer working at a local daycare.
One of her college instructors shares that Tiffany is academically talented, personable, dependable and a natural leader. She will impact students’ learning through interactive instruction, high expectations and best teaching practices. She is a well-rounded young lady who is the type of person that parents would want their children to have as a teacher.
Her passion to provide the best educational opportunities for her rural special needs students make it appropriate to congratulate Tiffany Johnson as the 2016 American Fidelity Scholarship recipient.
