Abigail Naylor - 2020 "Mickes O'Toole, LLC Scholarship" Recipient

Abigail Naylor

Abigail is a graduate of Salisbury High School in Salisbury, Missouri.  She is currently a student at Central Methodist University in Fayette working on a major in Biology Education.

Abigail shares, "Being an educator in a rural Missouri community isn't exactly everyone's calling, but I believe it is mine.  Growing up in a small Missouri community has made me fall in love with the idea of giving back to communities like mine.  I want to give my future students the opportunities that I was given.  I am proud to be a future teacher in rural Missouri."

A college professor shares that "As a former teacher and administrator, I feel Abigail will be outstanding as a rural teacher.  Her ability to build relationships, dependability, supportive nature, motivation to learn, commitment and engagement will allow her to use her talents and knowledge in a multitude of ways to positively influence the lives of her students."  Another professor shares, "Abigail grew up in a rural area, so she knows and understands the unique features of rural America and exactly what is required to make it grow and succeed."

It is our pleasure to present Abigail Naylor the 2020 Mickes O'Toole, LLC Scholarship award!
