Audrey Williams - 2020 "David M. Cooper Scholarship" Recipient

Audrey Williams

Audrey is a graduate of Linn High School in Linn, Missouri.  She is currently a student at Lincoln University in Jefferson City working on a major in Secondary English Education with a minor in Special Education.

Audrey shares, "I have lived in rural Missouri for the entirety of my life thus far, and I have no interest in leaving it.  I love the atmosphere of rural Missouri and I am proud to call it my home.  I want to settle and teach in a rural, tight-knit community where people feel safe, secure and a heightened sense of school spirit and pride.  I understand the importance of teachers and know that they have a great impact on those that they interact with.  I believe as a rural teacher, I will be able to easily connect with students, faculty members and families in the community due to my rural experiences."

Audrey's college professors score her highly on punctuality, preparation, time management, responsibility, confidentiality, respect, collaboration, diversity, clear communication, passion for education and creativity and inquiry.  Collectively they believe that she possesses the skills necessary to be successful as a rural Missouri school teacher.

It is our pleasure to present Audrey Williams the 2020 David M. Cooper Scholarship award!
