Paulena Midles
is currently the secretary to the Superintendent as well as the school district bookkeeper. A position she has held for the last 22 years. "Shining Star," "the glue," "good friend," "caring individual," and "loyality" are words that staff and students use to describe Mrs. Midles. She is one having so many gifts to working with all the different publics and truly caring about every detail of what will make the school look good and honorable. Mrs. Midles is well known for her many skills in not only the Humansville School District but also the surrounding schools.
As the superintendent's secretary, one must complete many task and wear many 'hats
while continually exhibiting professionalism, tact and sincerity in all endeavors. Mrs. Midles exhibits these skills with style and class! Anyone who has worked in a school system any length of time knows that it is the secretary that holds the organization together. This attribute can be attested too by the seven different superintendents she has had the opportunity to work with during her tenure. Mrs. Midles attitude is working until the job is completed in a thorough and comprehensive way, even though that may mean working beyond her designated work hours.
A staff member comments; -- Mrs. Midles is a very special and talented lady who wears many hats. Despite the fact that she is a busy person, she will always give those who enter her office a friendly smile and stop what she is doing to give help and assistance to the district staff and patrons. Mrs. Midles has a great sense of humor and makes those who enter the office feel welcome.
Another staff member comment: -- She always goes out of her way for others, and spends personal resources to make sure that everyone connected to the school receives some type of special gift or thank you around different occasions that occur during the school year.
Mrs. Midles is a role model and a team player who will lend a hand or assist staff members and employees in any way possible. She will frequently volunteer her husband to run errands for the district or will volunteer his muscle to see that project gets completed and students needs are met.
