Nancy Hill

2012 Associated Electric Scholarship Recipient

Nancy Hill is resident of Adrian, Missouri.  She is currently attending the University of Central Missouri – Warrensburg, Missouri, majoring in Elementary Education and a minor in Instructional Technology.

Mrs. Hill shared the story of a 6th grade boy in her community that if not for the generous support of the school district staff would not have been able to celebrate the excitement of a gift for Christmas.  “I want to teach in rural Missouri, because of this boy.”  As a resident of a rural community and a future rural Missouri teacher, I know firsthand the children of rural Missouri.  As a rural classroom teacher, I want to help each child learn and grown.  I want to be a role model for them, and motivate children to realize that they can achieve and learn.  Nancy shares that she chose a minor in instructional technology to benefit any rural school by helping to integrate technology into classrooms.

One of her college instructors shares that Nancy always takes a leadership role in group presentations and definitely contributes her share and more.  Nancy’s prior work experience in the business world and raising her own children has given her maturity beyond most college students.  Another instructor shares that she is able to make great personal connections to her learning and reflect upon ways to translate that into effective teaching practices.

With a philosophy of wanting to make a difference in a lives of children, we extent congratulations to Nancy Hill, the 2012 Associated Electric Scholarship recipient.
