2022 MARE/MO K-8 Conference - October 19-21, 2022
The 2022 MARE/MO K-8 Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 19th through Friday, October 21st at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The Conference Committee has put together a great program of Pre-Sessions (5 to choose from), General Sessions, Small Group Sessions, a Reception, Exhibit Hall (over 65 vendors), Meals, Refreshments, General Membership Meetings and opportunities to grow professionally and socialize in a relaxed environment with colleagues who support rural education from all over our great state.
We will also be offering Board Training as part of this event for both new members (18.5 hours) and the mandatory 1 hour refresher training required annually for members serving in their second or subsequent year on the Board.
General Session topics include - "Investigations 101", "Federal "Relief Program Update", "2022 Legislative Session Update & Beyond", "Missouri's Teacher Shortage", Legal Panel on Hot Topics, "School Finance & Governance Update", "A Conversation with the Commissioner", and a "Legal Guide to Goat Rodeos for School Leaders".
Small Group Session topics include - School Safety, Virtual Career Education, Powerful Learning, Construction Management, Indoor Air Quality, Mentor/Mentee Roundtable, Student Vaping & Nicotine Addiction, Saving District Money, Missouri State Library Resources, DNR Energy Loan Program, Small Schools Committee, Board/Superintendent Relationships, Postsecondary Success, MSIP 6 Strategic Plan, Complex Budget Times Leadership, Workforce Development, MARE Superintendent Search, MSIP (DESE), Teacher Retention & Turnover, Sustaining School Improvement, Parental Rights in Public Schools, RPDC's Partners in Learning, Effective Governance & MSIP 6, etc.

Last year we had 224 in attendance, by far our biggest turnout ever. We are working diligently to make the 2022 event even bigger and better!
