GRP Mechanical

Tom DeClue Sr. realized his lifelong dream in 1952 with the creation of a family owned business he called General Refrigeration. Tom expanded his business to include plumbing in 1964 and at the same time expanded the name to General Refrigeration and Plumbing (GRP).

Tom DeClue Jr. graduated from the University of Missouri Rolla in 1972 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He soon joined his father in the family business adding a key design / build element. GRP Mechanical was born. Tom Jr. took the reigns upon his father's retirement. Introducing an engineering component and new pipe fabrication facility, Tom Jr. launched the company to the forefront of the industrial piping and construction business.

Tom DeClue III, better known as T3, worked for 5 years as a pipefitter apprentice and 5 years as a journeyman pipefitter/welder, while attending night school. T3 earned a degree in Business Administration before moving into a management position with the family company. In 2008, T3 became President of GRP Mechanical.

What does GRP Mechanical and three generations of family business experience have to offer? A 60 year combined resume that reads like a Who's Who of the piping business. Through hard work, integrity, and a tradition of quality craftsmanship, GRP Mechanical has built a distinguished reputation in the business of industrial piping construction, fabrication / installation, HVAC, and plumbing.

The DeClue reputation extends beyond the jobsite to a rich history of community service and outreach that flows from the same vein of humility, caring, and deep, sincere faith in God that has made for six decades of business success. From church boards to contractor associations to emergency relief efforts for hurricane and flood victims, the DeClue family has gone about giving something back to individuals and communities that helped weave the fabric of their success.
