Macon County R-IV ( New Cambria) K-12 Principal Vacancy for 2019-2020
The Macon County R-IV School District, located along US 36 in northeast Missouri in New Cambria, Missouri, announces an immediate administrative vacancy for the position of K-12 principal for the 2019-2020 school year. This position will be filled through the application and hiring process with the one year contract beginning August 1, 2019.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENSATION
• Building level administrative experience preferred
• Minimum of a Master's Degree in administration required
• Current Missouri Principal certification REQUIRED(elementary and/or secondary)
• One year contract with compensation commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.
Responsibilities of the principal include:
• Oversight of attendance, conduct, and health of students
• Communication with parents
• Administration of school enterprises, activities, and extra-curricular activities
• Supervision of school related functions
• Arrangement of transportation for activities
• Construction of the yearly elementary and high school master class schedules in conjunction with the school guidance counselor
• Oversights of credentials of certified employees
• Construction of an annual handbook for students, staff, and activities
• Evaluation of personnel under his/ her direct supervision
• Oversight of attendance, grades, and other student related areas
• Contacting substitutes
• Assist the superintendent with items related to DESE MSIP reviews
• Other related activities as assigned by the superintendent or the board of education to ensure the efficient and compliant operations of the schools and district
