MUSIC Required Training Information Update and Reminder

As you gear up for the 2018-2019 school year, we know you have a lot to prepare!

MUSIC provides several training resources to help make it just a little bit easier.

You can view this document to see the Missouri training requirements, and what MUSIC offers you through SafeSchools.

MUSIC requires all members who have contact with minors to complete the MUSIC Sexual Misconduct: Staff to Student online training. The Smarter Adults Safer Children training, previously available via DVD and online video, is no longer available and has been replaced with the MUSIC Sexual Misconduct: Staff to Student online training.  If training is not done by staff and a sexual misconduct loss occurs, the district will be subject to a $100,000 deductible per claim.  Please keep records of group training, as these records will be needed for deductible to be waived.  These records can be uploaded within your LMS through SafeSchools.

Here are the steps in order to ensure an effective training process:

1. If your school staff has NOT been previously set up in SafeSchools, you will need to gather all the necessary data for your staff and submit it so they can be added to the system.
a. To do this, please utilize this document, input the requested data, and submit to Jessica Conley at Jessica_conley@ajg.com.
b. At that time, you will receive further instructions

2. If school staff IS set up in SafeSchools already, the training administrator for your school can assign the training to staff learning plans, which will prompt them to complete the training.
a. For details on how to assign training to staff, add or remove users, or pull reports, please utilize this document

Should you have any further questions or concerns for anything regarding training, please reach out to Jessica Conley at Jessica_conley@ajg.com or by direct phone 314-800-2234
