Morgann E. Gregory

2016 Mickes O'Toole Scholarship Recipient

Morgann Gregory is a graduate of Northwest High School in Hughesville, MO.  She is currently a student at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO working on a major in Social Studies Education.

Morgann shares that for as long as she can remember she has always wanted to be a teacher. She developed an appreciation for her small school and the small community that she grew up in.   Her small school turned into a small family for her as she attended church, participated in community events and developed lasting relationships with many of her teachers and other school staff.  Morgann wants to teach in a rural school setting in hopes of establishing lifelong relationships with her students, parents and community members.

One of her college instructors notes that Morgann truly exemplifies the term “good citizen.”  She is well organized, a great leader, intrinsically motivated and handles challenges and stressful situations well.    Another instructor shares that she is curious about learning, respectful and always positive and optimistic regardless of what each new day brings.

With her desire to build trusting and lasting relationships with her students, parents and in her rural community, we offer congratulations to Morgann Gregory as the 2016 Mickes O’Toole Scholarship recipient.
