Director, MU Partnership for Educational Renewal
learning of all students. MPER is a member of the National Network for Educational Renewal (NNER) and is a central component of Mizzou Ed’s engagement and outreach for school improvement. The position of Director is half-time (.50 FTE) and will report to the Executive Director of the Hook Center for
Educational Leadership and District Renewal.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall strategic direction for MPER, leading partnership planning, communications, and operations.
- Contribute to sustaining a collaborative relationship among the members of the partnership.
- Keep partnership members apprised of progress, opportunities and expectations.
- Continue to advance MPER as an integral part of the teaching and research activities of Mizzou Ed.
- Creatively link learning experiences in partnership schools and campus-based learning experiences at both beginning and advanced levels of preparation.
- Further the development of collegial relationships among educators on the MU campus and educators and other professionals in partner schools and their communities and other organizations.
- Create schools as centers of renewal through ongoing professional growth experiences (e.g.graduate degrees, staff development, etc.).
- Work collaboratively to ensure MPER activities are aligned with other engagement efforts of Mizzou Ed, including the Hook Center, the Regional Professional Development Center, and eMINTS.
About the College: The College of Education (Mizzou Ed) is ranked among the top doctoral granting colleges of education in the country. Today, the College of Education has a student population of approximately 1,300 undergraduates and 1,500 graduate students with 85 tenured/tenure-track faculty members. Mizzou Ed recently completed a new strategic plan and is financially well positioned to invest in opportunities for innovative ideas in support of the plan. Annual expenditures for externally funded projects are approximately $12 million with funded projects in research, instruction and public service. Our research portfolio has increased significantly in recent years, and is poised for continued significant strategic growth. The College is a leader on the campus and is nationally recognized for its distance and online education programs.

Qualifications: We seek a seasoned educator with deep understand8hg of school and district efforts to improve student learning. Strong candidates will hold a doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in education or a related field, and have extensive experience in education administration at both school and district levels.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a half-time (.50 FTE) 12 month position, and is therefore not eligible for university benefits.
