THE MISSION

The Mission of the Santa Fe R-X School District is to provide an educational environment for children of the district, which will foster their intellectual, physical, social, and career development in a caring and nurturing environment.

 
THE COMMUNITY
The Santa Fe R-X School District is located in West Central Missouri along the old "Santa Fe Trail" bordering the Missouri River.  The larger community is made up of four smaller communities of Alma, Blackburn, Grand Pass, and Waverly.  The community is predominantly agriculture. 
 

THE DISTRICT

The school district is 163.82 square miles with approximately 58.5% of the district in Lafayette County and 41.5% in Saline County.  The Santa Fe Jr/Sr High School (Grades 7-12) is located in Alma.  The Santa Fe "Gold Star" Elementary School (Grades K-6) is located in Waverly.  The district provides all three levels of Career Ladder.  All classrooms are air-conditioned.  There are computers in every classroom.  The facilities are in excellent condition with on-going preventative upkeep and maintenance.

SALARY/BENEFIT INFORMATION
  • Applicants should consider the salary range between $70,000 - $95,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Multi-year contract available.
  • Prior Administrative experience and Educational Specialist Degree at a minimum.
  • Required - Missouri Superintendent's Certification or to be received by July 1, 2009.
  • Successful candidate will receive paid health insurance benefits life insurance and the availability of voluntary dental and vision insurance.
  • Successful candidate will be expected to be a resident of the school district.
