| The South Nodaway R-IV School District has earned the designation of Distinction in Performance by DESE for six out of the last seven years. In 2008, the high school was named a Gold Star School - one of 15 in the state. The elementary has had classes in the top ten the last two years in Communication Arts and Math. In 2006, the high school 10th grade scored number one in the state in Math. One hundred percent of the 07-08 sixth graders were proficient and advanced in both communication arts and math. Screening is scheduled to begin on November 3 with interviews tentatively scheduled for the week of November 19th. A multiple year contract is possible with experience.
